About Me

I’m Carolyn Clarkson, and I’ve had the privilege of learning industry best practices and standards for 3D modeling at DigiPen Institution of Technology while pursuing a second BFA degree in Digital Arts & Animation. Currently, I work as a freelance modeling generalist, contributing my expertise to various projects, and as an Environment Modeler for an indie game studio.

Living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest inspires me daily, whether it’s through the lush scenery that surrounds me or the vibrant creative community that thrives here. In my downtime, I indulge in personal hobbies like playing Dungeons & Dragons, where I can let my imagination run wild, and miniature painting, where I can bring tiny worlds to life.

Hiking is another passion of mine; there’s nothing quite like exploring the great outdoors and discovering hidden gems in nature. Back at home, I take care of my two cats with my amazing husband, creating a cozy and loving environment for all of us.

With a strong foundation in visual communication, I bring a unique perspective to my work, ensuring that my environments not only look stunning but also enhance the overall game experience. My dedication to mastering industry-standard tools like Maya, ZBrush, Marmoset Toolbag, and Unreal Engine reflects my commitment to excellence in 3D modeling.

My past experience includes roles in project management, web design, and visual marketing for businesses of all sizes. I have received recognition for my work, including awards such as the 2017 IAC – Bronze Aster Award for top Medical Practice/Physician Group Website and the 2019 IAC – Best Military Website for Campbell Strong Defense Alliance.

Outside of my professional endeavors, I am a talented fine artist, skilled in digital photography, figure drawing, and traditional sculpture. I am constantly seeking to expand my skills and push the boundaries of what is possible in 3D modeling, making me a valuable asset to any creative team.
